Laurence Bodelot
Researcher
After a thesis on solid mechanics defended at the Laboratory of Mechanics of Lille, Laurence Bodelot worked on a postdoctoral position at the Graduate Aerospace Laboratories of the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). In 2012, she joined École Polytechnique as an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanics. She also conducts research at the Solid Mechanics Laboratory, focusing on metal alloys, smart elastomers and nano-architected sensors. In particular, she studies multi-scale deformation mechanisms and multi-physical coupling within these materials and structures. Her work has applications in areas such as transport, human-machine interfaces and the environment.
