Wolfgang Schäffner
Professor Dr. Wolfgang Schäffner holds the Chair of the History of Culture and Knowledge at the Institut for Cultural History and theory at Humboldt University as well as a permanent visiting Professor at the University of Buenos Aires. He is the director of the Helmholtz Centre for Cultural Techniques and together with Prof. Dr. Peter Fratzl and Prof. Dr. Horst Bredekamp he is the Speaker of the Interdisciplinary Laboratory Image Knowledge Gestaltung and will continue to hold this Position for the upcoming Interdisciplinary Laboratory Matters of Activity. One of his most notable publications is his history of the point as cultural technique of mathematical operations, published under the title Punkt 0.1.
