Manuelle Freire

Manuelle Freire, PhD, trained as a designer (Universidade do Porto), and is currently postdoctoral researcher at EnsadLab (Paris) for the development of  practice-based research in art & design – education and mediation in art-science-technology. In order to propose innovative models within academic institution,  her research focuses on the organization of multidisciplinary cross-institution and cross-sector research and education teams.. Her current work is part of the Chair “arts & sciences”, jointly created by the Daniel et Nina Carasso Foundation, École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, and École Polytechnique. She was programming coordinator of Hexagram: the international network dedicated to research & creation in media arts, design, technology and digital culture (2013-2016); Associate artistic director at ELEKTRA – BIAN (2016-2017).
